Hello, It's Me

Hello! My name is Tonya Fowler. I have two sisters and one brother. Because of the age differences between my older siblings and my younger sister, (18-16, and 2 years, respectively), I always feel like the middle child. The one slightly neglected because of my naturally shy personality, compared to the exuberant personalities of my sisters and the quiet, kind personality of my brother, but when need be, I make my presence known. I’m more of an introvert at heart. I love reading, writing, photography(although I have yet to purchase a SLR), art, and creating. In my spare time I like to learn how to hip-hop dance and to code.

I’m adventurous. A wanderlust at heart in search of new experiences. I love Jesus and seek to please him with my life. So continue to follow along as I share my experiences and ponderings on life.

A Typical Morning

Spring is the time where new things are birthed. The trees start to blossom. The flowers start to bud. Oil pulling is an ancient method of swishing oil (sesame, coconut, or olive) in your mouth for between fifteen to twenty minutes on an empty stomach. I use olive oil because I’m not a huge fan of coconut. While improv...

The Coronation (Tales of Tarsurella) Book 1: Review

This post is for The Coronation Blog Tour, of which I had the honor of being a part of. I hope you enjoy! The Coronation by Olivia Lynn Jarmusch is the first book in the Tales of Tarsurella series and it's about the European monarchy nation of Tarsurella undergoing a change of power from the current King to his son, Addison. As the whole nation is abuzz with preparations for this once in a lifetime event, the Royal family tries to balance work, family, and God.   The eight children that make up the Royal siblings-Addison, Bridget, Chasity, Hope, Asher, Jillian, Millie, and Willie, are all unique and delightful to read about. Their uniqueness brings them alive, and I feel a little like all of them.   The Point of View changes between the characters took a little getting used to, but in the long run really enhanced the reading experience, and I got a clear understanding of what was happening and the feelings of everyone. I do not usually cry while rea...
